The world needs to understand that we can’t police everybody

o many conflicts, so little time. Being the world’s peacekeeper is no picnic. If the U.S. military isn’t bombing Kosovo, they’re blowing up Iraqi missile depots or chasing after a major drug baron somewhere in South America.

Jakob the Liar brings hope to the cinema

Robin Williams seems to have found a character niche as of late. Last year’s Patch Adams cast him as West Virginia’s own off-beat doctor who healed his patients with a dose of humor. Williams tries once again to use his healing magic in his most recent venture, Jakob The Liar. This time around, moviegoers won’t find Williams wearing bedpan shoes or an enema bulb nose in a role which falls more on the serious side. What they will find is a story which attempts to carry the theme of hope in one of the most hopeless places in history.
