The Green Mile brings a miracle to the big screen

As the year winds to a close, film studios are releasing a number of movies, hoping to receive both big revenues and some possible Oscar considerations. 1999 has seen Hollywood take a refreshing turn towards originality. Moviegoers have been scared stiff by the groundbreaking (and overrated) Blair Witch Project, seen one of the most impressive science fictions films of recent years in The Matrix, revisited their past via Star Wars memories with this summer’s The Phantom Menace and examined our culture’s obsession with materialism through films like Fight Club and American Beauty.

‘We all played dumb’
Men’s basketball out of sync in 75-64 loss to Ohio

Chris Moss summed it up with one simple adjective. “Dumb” is how the West Virginia forward described his team’s 75-64 loss to Ohio (5-2). “We all played dumb, we didn’t play as a team. We’re mentally tired and it’s too early to be getting tired now. We have to stay together.”
