Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s performance of Dracula proved to be riveting by Sally Ann Cruikshank ATHENAEUM STAFF On Sunday, the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre gave their last
performance of the ballet Dracula. While the curtain rose, dark trees loomed
and fog swirled over the stage. As the orchestra played the usual sinister
music that accompanies such a production, a dark figure appeared in the
midst of it all. Slowly, the figure materialized, the black turned to red,
and Dracula stepped forward, adorned in a magnificent cape with a red satin
lining.
