Fight Club, the new movie starring Brad Pitt and Ed Norton, has gotten peoples attention with its anger and, some say, unnecessary violence. One reason that this movie might be disturbing to some is because it is too close to what many people feel everyday about the life they live. It speaks directly to what many Americans, especially young Americans, have to deal with everyday: consumerism, greed, material wealth that hide people’s insecurities. The movie has an important theme, and if you are able to understand it and not misconstrue it, more power to you.
