$5 million grant to fund Research Park

The Economic Development Grant Committee approved a $5 million grant for WVU’s Research Park, which is still in the planning stages.  The committee also approved $2 million for a new Extension Fire Service Training Academy at WVU Jackson’s Mill in Lewis County.

Iraqi parliament rejects U.N. resolution but leaves final decision to Saddam

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) — Iraq’s parliament recommended Tuesday that President Saddam Hussein reject the new U.N. weapons inspection resolution, but the Iraqi leader’s son offered a way out — make Arabs part of the U.N. team.
