The weather on Sept. 11, 2002, seemed oddly suited for the day’s task. It was an overcast and bitterly windy day. Thunder rumbled as people stood and remembered an unusually strong act of courage.

Airliner diverted after passengers act suspicious

FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) — An airliner was diverted to Fort Smith on Wednesday because four passengers behaved strangely on the flight, including at least three who locked themselves in a restroom, possibly shaving their body hair.

Everybody thinks of the sons, daughters, sisters, mothers, husbands and cousins they left behind.
Joanne Ahladiotis. Mohammed Salman. Fredrick Kim Han.
But after the candlelight memorial service with songs referring to a Christian god,  some may have wondered one thing.
Did all of the victims really believe in a Christian god? Or a god at all?

Clearly, the end of the world is nigh. We now have a Christian hip-hop group out there. As if the sugary-sweet mainstream sludge regularly churned out by Warner Brothers Records wasn’t insulting enough. Now the media giant is passing off the massively over-produced gospel jams of SoulJahz as some kind of serious hip-hop.

Soccer team blanked, 3-0

The St. Francis, Pa., men’s soccer team gave meaning to their Red Flash nickname by scoring three goals in lightening-quick flashes, ultimately ending the Mountaineers’ undefeated season by a 3-0 score Wednesday night at the Mountaineer Soccer Complex.
