MANILA, Philippines (AP) — A nail-packed bomb killed an American Green Beret and two Filipinos on Wednesday outside a restaurant near a base in the troubled southern Philippines, where the U.S. military helped in the fight against al-Qaida-linked rebels this year.

Division to hold annual conference

“Putting the Unity Back in Community: Recognizing and Rebuilding the Strengths in Our Own Backyards,” will  teach students how to work more effectively with communities.

olks are constantly complaining about how West Virginia is behind the curve on economic development. 
Hopefully the same people aren’t against the expansion of Interstate 68, because if they are, they’re contradicting themselves.

So what exactly is “stoner rock”? Is it loud and rugged, like Pantera and Tool? Or should it be mellow and laid-back like Sublime and Wilco? Better yet, trippy like Beck and smooth like Moby. Hmmm, maybe it should just be some kinda-subtle metal with inflated drums and all-too-groovy melodies. Then that would fit Queens of the Stone Age. And since that is their official label, why not just accept that. Songs for the Deaf should be called Songs for the Reefer and come with a free toking guide.

Man in the middle
Upchurch anchors new defense

There is little glory for a defensive lineman. 
They come to game day knowing that it is their job to stop the flood of rushers, linemen and savages from breaking away from the herd and making a big play. There is little notice or recognition on a play-by-play basis by most fans. It is only when they miss a tackle make a sack that their efforts are acknowledged.
