Oh, what a year for the entertainment world! Eminem was sentenced to two years probation, Puffy was acquitted and Madonna tied the knot again. Jennifer and Brad got married and Tom and Nicole split. A crouching tiger almost beat a gladiator while a sassy gal named Erin wasn’t too far behind. “Survivor” came back to the tube with more disgusting entrées of rare bugs while “Friends” competed with its Thursday prime-time nemesis by adding 10 minutes to the February shows. Excitement was everywhere an entertainment junkie looked.

Look for these summer shows in the area

For the summer student in Morgantown, there is more to do than stay in town, drive the empty streets and enjoy shorter lines at stores everywhere; you can catch a few concerts. I’m sure you’re probably staying up here to catch up on classes or make money to pay for stuff, but why not rid yourself of some of that troublesome cash.

Murder mystery at the Monart Gallery

Murder, surrealism, minimalism and tacos!
Three of these four things will be at the Monart Gallery on May 2, 3 and 4 as part of “The Tressle at Pope Lick Creek,” by Kentuckian Naomi Wallace. This suspenseful murder mystery is being performed, produced and directed by a group of WVU theater students seeking to have one last hurrah in front of the audience before the school year comes to a close.
