TALLAHASSEE, Fla.  — Florida Secretary of State Katherine Harris rose to prominence during the disputed election recount that sent George W. Bush to Washington. Now, Republicans want the state’s best-known female politician to run for Congress.

Students should practice caution during the coming summer months 
t’s that time of year again.
Every semester, as the year winds down and the temperatures begin to rise, so does the mayhem.
This year has been no different.
In a recent article in The Daily Athenaeum, DPS reported an increase in the use of alcohol on campus that directly coincided with the number of students outside.
Cpt. David Bean, of the Morgantown Fire Department, also reported an increase in couch fires, saying, “We anticipate more.”

A football season to remember in 2000

The 2000 football campaign for the West Virginia Mountaineers is one that will not be forgotten anytime soon. It was a season that saw one of the true legends in coaching step down and the 16-year bowl curse lifted. A season that saw the legendary Fighting Irish of Notre Dame pay a visit to Morgantown for the first time ever, as well as the first visit from the less than legendary Idaho Vandals.
