ADVISING CENTER Make your preregistration appointment now for summer and fall semesters at 293-5805, Ext. 300 or 303, or stop by. 
CONDOMS ARE AVAILABLE for $.10 each to WVU students through the University Health Service’s Health Education Program, 293-6972, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. When used properly, they may reduce but not eliminate the risk of sexually-transmitted infections. Abstinence gives the most protection. 
FINANCIAL AID Any student that is interested in receiving financial aid for the 2001 summer sessions must complete a separate summer application.  Awards for summer sessions will be based on remaining eligibility from the 2000-01 academic year. Applications are available at the Financial Aid Office, Academic Advising, residence halls, Information Desk of the Mountainlair, in the Summer Schedule and on the WVU Web page. To be considered for the 2001 summer session, you must also have a 2000-01 FAFSA on file.  
FULBRIGHT SCHOLARSHIP Rising seniors and grad students can apply to study abroad in academic fields or train professionally in creative and performing arts next year. Contact Dr. Bendena at 293-5121 for more info.
VOLUNTEER SteppingStones needs more volunteers for the Mountain Milestones & Teen Adventures Summer Day Camp, a six-week integrated program which includes children with and without disabilities. For ages 6 to 18, Mon., Wed., Fri., June 25 to August 3rd. Call Missy at 296-0150.

TOMCHIN PLANETARIUM will present for the last time “More Than Meets the Eye” on Friday, June 8 at 8 and 9 p.m. in Room 425 Hodges Hall. Admission is free but reservations are required and can be made at 293-3422, Ext. 1443. Tomchin Observatory, located on the 4th floor of Hodges Hall, will open about 9 p.m. for public viewing on the same night but requires no reservations, if the sky is clear.

 Submission Policy


To place an event or announcement in the Campus Calendar, fill out a form or turn in the information at the Athenaeum office by no later than Noon, TWO DAYS prior to when you need the
announcement to run.
Because of space limitations and the number of announcements submitted, announcements will only run a day, maybe two, in advance. (Please do not request that they run longer.)
Unless it is a university sponsored event, all off-campus events must have free admission (ie, no cover) to be included in the calendar.
Information may be sent via U.S. or campus mails, by FAX to 293-6857, but please include all pertinent info. Announcements WILL NOT be taken over the phone.
If your group or organization will have a set time and place for meetings during the semester, fill out only one form and specify at the top that it is to be used for the year, semester, or weekly.
The editors reserve the right to edit or delete any submission. There is no charge for publication. Questions should be directed to the Campus Calendar Editor at 293-5092.   Thanks.
