A weekend outing ended in violence early Sunday morning when Morgantown police stepped in to end a fight on High Street. The altercation led to several arrests and allegations by those involved of racially-motivated police misconduct.

I once remember thinking anything from BBC music meant a great buy. But now it seems the name only suggests British Pop music. When the American airwaves and clubs are flooded with Britney Spears and ’N SYNC, Britain stands next to its techno-sounding and mostly depressing music. The newest import from the isles is the Cocteau Twins-BBC sessions, your run-of-the-mill pop band. They’ve been around for a while, toward 20 years actually. They didn’t seem to cheer up throughout the years though.

West Virginia looks to turn things around against Miami
