Disappointing adventure at The Beach

The Beach is Leonardo DiCaprio’s first movie since the hype of Titanic died down. The film was clearly made as a star vehicle for DiCaprio, and I can see why he might have seen The Beach as a good opportunity. The film gives him a wide range of tests as an actor, and DiCaprio largely succeeds. He’s also given a supporting cast of actors who can all work on his level. Unfortunately, The Beach ultimately fails for reasons that no actor can overcome.

Boston College snaps losing streak, Mountaineers drop second straight

Fear of consecutive loss number 13 combined with marksman-like efforts from Troy Bell and Xavier Singletary carried the Eagles to a 80-76 victory over West Virginia Saturday.
