intelligent science fiction, resulting in large profit, much acclaim, and
most importantly, a large rise in the level of quality expected from the
genre. The Matrix and The Sixth Sense, two films that can make strong claims
as best movie of 1999, along with Event Horizon, The Thirteenth Floor and
Dark City all shed very positive light on the ability of film makers to
produce wonderful art.
